A cased Victorian presentation trowel , with a carved ivory handle inscribed "Presented to Edward Crossley Esq, (of Halifax) on the occasion of his laying foundation stone of Congregation Church, Hornsea, E R Yorks, 25, July, 1872", by Messrs Lias, London 1870, 12.4in (31.5cm) long.
