A William III West Country lace-back trefid spoon, with small "ears", die-stamped to back of bowl and front of stem with trailing scrollwork, back of stem prick-dot engraved with initials and date "H.S" over "M.W" over "1700", struck to back of stem with maker's mark "Britannia" punch "Brita" over "nnia", by John Murch, Plymouth c.1700, 8in (20.2cm) long, 1.5oz. This above spoon was from the Griffin Collection Part IV One of eleven lots from the forth part of the collection of trefid and wavy end spoons formed by Dr. and Mrs. Jeremy Griffin.
