An early 19th century Scottish silver mustard pot,

by J. Mackay, Edinburgh no date letter, circa 1830,

shaped circular form, embossed foliate decoration on a matted background, leaf capped scroll handle, the domed cover with a foliate finial, on a pierced foliate foot, the underside engraved with the crest of Glenorchy, height 8.8cm, approx. weight 8.4oz.

Provenance: John Campbell, MP, Lord Glenorchy, and thence by descent to the present owner.
