circular form, shell and scroll border, the centre with engraved foliate scroll and trellis decoration, inscribed 'Presented to Walter Gosden Esq. From the Staff of The Inns of Court Hotel in testimony of their respect and esteem on the occasion of his resignation of the management, March 1888', diameter 38.5cm, approx. weight 43oz.

This lot is sold with a contemporary letter of 1885 with Walter Gosden's name on the heading.
