A George I silver kitchen pepper pot,
by Edward Gibbon, London 1721,
cylindrical form, domed pierced cover, scroll handle, the front engraved with an armorial, on a circular foot, height 8cm, approx. weight 2.2oz.
The arms are that of Charles Bennett, KT, created 1st Earl of Tankerville October 1714,
died May 1722.
