The Guards regimental interest, a Victorian silver mounted racing trophy paperweight , by F Brastead, London 1885, rectangular form, the knop handle mounted with a George IV Sovereign, applied with four inscribed panels, 'RED COAT RACE March 5th 1884 THE ODD SOVEREIGN RUN IN MEYNELL COUNTRY NR RADBOURNE HALL' the sides with the names of starters of from the Scot's, Coldstream and Grenadier Guards, the reverse with the names of the winners, plus another unmarked silver mounted paperweight of similar form, inscribed 'POINT TO POINT RACE SWINDON MARCH 12TH 1890 GRENADIERS V COLDSTREAM PRESENTED BY THE COLDSTREAM TO MAJOR H ST.JOHN MILDMAY, the reverse with the names of the team, another plain paperweight, length 8.4cm and 8cm.
