plain rectangular form, the hinged cover engraved with two crests, the interior with three fitted sections, length 17.7cm, approx. weight 5oz.

The crowned lion head crest is recorded for Bampfylde, Crowne, Davis, Kift, Osborn and others, paired with a wolf had crest, possibly for Ouseley.
