An unusual Victorian writing compendium, of turned ivory with silver bands, unscrewing into section's revealing a gilt metal quill guillotine, (some damage), a pencil, a seal matrix, a small compartment and two knife blades which screw into the end, the body with an incised calendar, with incised maker's mark of "I Wilkes, 57 Cornhill", 4.5in (11.5cm) long.
