A George II silver salver

A George II silver salver, maker's mark worn, London 1740, circular form, shell and scroll border, the centre engraved with a widow's lozenge, on three bracket feet, diameter 28.3cm, approx. weight 24oz. The arms are those of Crew(e) impaling Wassand, engraved on a lozenge for a widow.
