A George II silver five bottle Warwick cruet frame,
by Samuel Wood, London 1741, and 1744-45,
conventional form, wire-work frame, central scroll carrying handle, on four scroll legs terminating in pad feet, engraved with a coat of arms, with three casters of circular bellied form, knop finials, and two unmarked silver mounted glass bottles, height 20cm, approx. weighable 32oz.
The shield is that of William Gordon who was invested as a Knight of the Bath in 1779.
