A Tudor silver varvel, unmarked, second half of the 16th century, circular form with a mounted shield engraved with the arms of St. John of Bletsoe, also engraved '+ SEYNT-IOHN', length 1cm. The title of Baron St. John of Blestoe, Befordshire, was created in 1582 for Oliver St.John. He was the great grandson of Sir John Oliver St. John of Blestoe.
