A George II silver kettle on stand,
by John Swift, London 1742,
inverted pear form, with chased and embossed foliate and scroll decoration, hinged wicker bound scroll carrying handle, flush hinged cover with a cone finial, engraved with an armorial, the stand on three scroll legs with dolphin masks and shell pad feet with a pierced apron, and with a later electroplated burner, height 36.8cm, approx. weight 72oz.

The arms are those of Sabine of Patricksbourne, Kent quartering Sabyn of Befordshire impaling another.
