Forrer, Biographical Dictionary of Medallists, Vol. VI, pp 74, 79-80); together with mid 19th century electrotypes of medals from the 17th to 19th century, including the murder of the brothers de Witt; Peace of Ryswick, Prince Albert, etc; contained in a Victorian mahogany collector's box of 7 plain trays, loose lid, 17" x 11 ½" x 7". Some damage to box, Biblical medals fair and fine, electrotypes generally very fine and better. (lot)
