Provenance: Bonhams, Knightsbridge, Fine Silver Sale, 11th March 1997, lot 269.
The three crests are probably unrelated and sequential. The shield is possibly an unidentified Irish shield of arms of the first owner. The cherub's face and wings are the crest of the Irish families Caloner, Gayer, Fannon, Porter and also recorder for Auld, Courtney, Scot, Waller and Wood. The third crest is unidentified.
