A late 17th / early 18th century silver penner / quill case, unmarked, of trefoil cylindrical form, the pull off cover with a matrix, engraved with a coat of arms, the bases with a monogram, length 7.4cm, approx. weight 0.3oz. ** The arms are those of Fry, engraved on a lozenge for a spinster.
