A Charles II silver two-handled porringer,
maker's mark attributed to John Burges, London, probably 1662,
circular bellied form, embossed with a unicorn and lion within foliate decoration, caryatid scroll handles, the underside inscribed 'ATWILL-LAKE' and with a scratch weight '27=5=oz', and with traces of gilding, length handle to handle 24.5cm, approx. weight 26oz.
