A Charles II West Country silver Apostle spoon
A Charles II West Country silver Apostle spoon, St. Thomas,
marked with an anchor with two pellets in a circle, Salisbury circa 1650,
fig-shaped bowl, faceted stem, with an Apostle finial with traces of gilding and a large nimbus, prick dot initialled 'T.M' over T.W' and the date '1662', the reverse of the bowl with an old collection label 'Chas. I c.1620 Truro, St.Thomas', length 18.2cm, approx. weight 1.8oz.
