A George II silver second course plate,
by Edward Wakelin, London 1754,
circular form, stylised border, engraved with an armorial, the underside scratch initialled 'No. 14 31=0', diameter 30cm, approx. weight 29.3oz.
The arms are that of Crompton impaling Rookes quartering Stansfield: William Rookes Crompton Stansfield (1790-1871).
