circular form, inscribed 'Girvan District Agricultural Society for best cheese, any make or colour, given by W. Paterson and Sons, Ayr, 1897', won by Andrew Dougan, Straid, plus another agricultural medal for The Best Cheese Any Make, Colmonell and Ballantrae Agricultural Society, again won by Andrew Dougan, 1890, approx. weight 2.8oz.
