World War I, a Royal Flying Corps Pilot's group of six medals, rising from Trumpeter to Flight Lieutenant (R.A.F.V.R.), 1914-15 Star (606 Tptr. C. W. Langlands. HAC.), War and Victory medals (2 Lieut. C. W. Langlands R.F.C.), W.W. II Defence and War medals, Air Efficiency Award, Geo VI (Flt. Lt. C. W. Langlands RAFVR), crudely mounted for display, tarnished and discoloured, very fine and better; sold with various buttons, badges, binoculars, etc. Records note:- Trumpeter C. W. Langlands, from H.A.C. (T.F.), for duty with R.F.C., 29 July, 1916; Flying Officer, LG 20 March, 1917; Relinquished commission on account of ill health contracted on active service, granted the honorary rank of Lieutenant, 14 December, 1918; Commissioned as Pilot Officer on probation (R.A.F.V.R.), 16 May, 1939.
