An 18th century silver Hanoverian pattern basting spoon, probably American and possibly by Samuel Tingley, New York circa 1770, the terminal engraved with a crest, length 36.8cm, approx. weight 6oz. * The crest is that of Harry or Harris originally of Cornwall. Similar usage is also recorded for George David Harris of the Bahamas. For very similar maker's mark see Stephen Ensko, American silversmiths and their marks II, 1937 edition page 69
