A Victorian gilt metal vinaigrette

A Victorian gilt metal vinaigrette, unmarked, retailed by Mackay Cunningham and Co, Edinburgh, rectangular form, engraved foliate scroll decoration, initialled, the grille pierced and engraved with scrollwork and thistles, the interior of the cover inscribed: 'Presented to Mrs Sommerville of Dalmore on the 50th anniversary of her marriage by Alexander Annandale of Polton and his children 27th July 1853', length 3.8cm, in a fitted case.
