By Evald Nielsen, A Danish silver tea strainer and stand, Copenhagen circa 1920, plain circular bowl, elongated scroll handle, the stand of circular form, length 17.5cm, approx. weight 3.5oz. ** Evald Nielsen(1879-1958) showed his silver and jewellery in exhibitions from 1911 onwards. At first his work was influenced by Georg Jensen, but in the 1920's his work became severe and decorated only in subdued stylised ornament.
