λ A George III silver coffee jug,

baluster form, gadroon borders, leaf capped scroll handle, domed hinged cover with a flame finial, engraved with an armorial, on a circular foot with a gadroon border, height 27cm, approx. weight 24oz.

The arms are those for Charles, 2nd son of Sir Edward Dering, 5th Bt., MP for Kent for his marriage in 1770 to Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Thomas Farnaby, 2nd Bt., of Kippington, Kent.
