A George III provincial silver teapot

A George III provincial silver teapot,

by John Hampston and John Prince, York, circa 1786,

oval form, scroll handle flush hinged cover with a rectangular finial, engraved with husks and ribbon-tied swags, and engraved with an armorial, length handle to spout 23cm, approx. weight 14.5oz.

The arms are probably those of Thompspn quartering Bell of Scotland, impaling Rudd, engraved with a widow's lozenge.
