circular form, wavy-edge borders, embossed with flowers and foliate scroll decoration, on a raised circular foot, the trumpet vase of tapering circular form, inscribed 'Presented to W. H. Hornby, Esq. M.P, by his employees on the occasion of his marriage November 23 1887', central unmarked rod, height 64cm, approx. weight with rod removed 86oz.
