A Victorian presentation silver table snuff box,
by Yapp and Woodward, Birmingham 1851,
rectangular form, engine-turned decoration, the hinged cover with a raised wavy-edge scroll border, and inscribed, ' Presented to Mr Thomas Beveridge, October 23 1852, by the Workmen of Soho Foundry, Preston, as a token of respect for his long faithful and impartial conduct towards them as their manager', length 9cm, approx. weight 6.1oz.
