marked Sterling, and with an indistinct maker's mark over-striking another, possibly that of John and Samuel Nicolson, Cork, circa 1780,

circular form, shell and scroll border, the centre engraved with a crowned cipher, on three hoof feet, diameter 20.3cm, approx. weight 12.2oz.
