Of South African interest: A late 19th century presentation silver trowel, with an turned ivory handle, inscribed, 'Mrs John Smith on the laying if the Foundation Stone of the Pietermaritzburg Young Mens' Christian Association Hall, 17th Dec 1880', and 'Used again at the relaying June 22nd 1897', stamped four times with maker's mark J.H., length 18.5cm.
