A late Charles II silvergilt

£1,000 - £1,500 £1,000

A late Charles II silvergilt, provincial lace-back trefid spoon, pricked "A B" over "H P" over "1684" struck with four marks, a barbed rose, a turret and a crown [twice], although these marks bear certain similarities to those of Newcastle and Norwich, this may be throwing us off the scent. c1684, 8.5in (21.6cm) long, 2oz
