A late 17th / early 18th century Swedish parcel-gilt silver wine taster,

unmarked, circa 1700,

circular gilded bowl and with a gilded border, pierced trefoil handle with a spike, length 7.4cm, approx. weight 1oz.

Provenance: Kurt Ribbhagen, Stockholm, Sweden, 25 January 2000.

The spike on the handle is for holding the cork during decanting.
