A Victorian novelty vesta and slow match holder, in the form of a carriage lamp with a clear convex lens, hinging open to reveal a knurled wheel, the fluted cover hinging also to reveal a gilt interior with a hinged striker and vesta compartment, by H. W. Dee, London 1870, 1.75in (4.5cm) high.
