** An 18th century continental, gilt-metal mounted polychrome enamel double snuff box, waisted form with a shaped oval hinged cover at each end and painted with a variety of biblical scenes, the cover interiors similarly decorated, unmarked, probably German c.1770, 2.75in (7cm) high. *The interior with a label, inscribed in ink Mrs. Haliburton Collection Sold May 1868 (which may or may not have any relevance).
