An early 18th century French brass Butterfield dial

An early 18th century French brass Butterfield dial, of canted oblong form, the sprung hinged gnomon with degrees of adjustment and a bird pointer, the reverse engraved with a host of European cities and their degrees of latitudes (40-52.4), signed 'Butterfield A Paris', (contained in original fitted case) 2.5in (6.5cm) long.
