An early 19th century Russian, four-colour gold snuff box, serpentine outline and bombe form, each panel decorated in low relief with a pastoral or similar scene within borders of trailing ivy leaves, foliate thumb piece, marks mainly worn except for St. Petersburg town mark, 1830-40, 3.75in (9.5cm) long, 3.5oz.
