An 18th century French silver arm badge, probably for Livery dress,
by Jacques-Pierre Marteau, Paris circa 1762 - 68,
pierced, embossed and engraved with the arms of The Earl of Fife, height 15.5cm, approx. weight 5oz.

The arms are possibly for the second Earl of Fife, James Duff, who succeeded his father to the title in 1763.
