A silver presentation inkstand,
by Mappin & Webb, London 1935,
plain rectangular form with engine-turned decoration to the cover, to the interior are two glass inkwells and a covered stamp compartment, to the underside of the cover is engraved two armorial shields, inscribed 'The High Sheriff of Sussex, Mr C.W. Shelford to his Under Sheriff, Mr E.R. Lawrence 1954-55', length 19.5cm.
