Unascribed: A James I/Charles I spoon, with a faintly gilt decorated seal pricked ID, struck in the bowl with an indistinct mark (over striking itself twice) and on the stem, with a sailing vessel and a 'b' closely resembling the date letter for London 1559, 6.3in (16cm). This spoon is curious in that it has a 'V' joint and that the mark in the bowl appears very similar to the mark of George Barefote (see Kent, West Country spoons and their makers, p.34)
