A George III 'out of period' hot water jug, of plain pear form on a spreading foot, cut-card decoration, cane wrapped handle, bud finial, hinged cover, engraved on each side with a cartouche, one side crested, the other with the armorials of Phelips of Montacute, County Somerset, struck below the rim and on the cover with a French control mark, maker Edward Fernell, London 1793, 8in (20.3cm) high, 24.75oz
