A late Charles II silvergilt chinoiserie toilet basin, with everted reeded rim and reeded foot, the interior chased with exotic birds and fruiting foliage, centred by a radiating design, engraved cypher within a plumed cartouche, the base scratched '34-5 with ewer', maker's mark RC with a dotted circle, London 1683, 9.25in (23.5cm) diameter, 20oz.
