Two 18th century Dutch silvergilt spoons with cast stems and figural terminals: one inscribed "Jaytie Gerbens is Geboren Den 9 November 1748", maker's mark only, possibly by Fedde Acronius, Sneek c.1748; the other with an interesting coat of arms* initialled "JPE" & dated "1726", mark only, (either a device or a sailing vessel) unascribed c.1726, the former 7in (18cm) long, 3.75oz. (2) * Probably a barber-surgeon guild.
