An early 18th century oval snuff box

An early 18th century oval snuff box, with a hinged, pressed tortoiseshell cover depicting the portrait of King Charles I in armour, signed 'OB' below a crown for John Obrisset, the box with stand-away hinge, gilt interior, unmarked c.1720, 3in (7.5cm) long. Provenance Phillips New Bond Street, lot 170 July 1988.
