An Important Peninsular War Medal, awarded to Lieutenant Lawrence Dundas, of the Northumberland Fusiliers, Major of Brigade and Deputy Assistant Adjudant General: Military General Service Medal, 1793-1814, 3 clasps, Busaco, Albuhera, Badajoz (L. DUNDAS, LIEUT 5TH FOOT, MAJR OF BDE, D.A.A.G). Good very fine. The Battles of Busaco - 27th September 1810; The Battle of Albuhera - 16th May, 1811, The Siege and Capture of Badajoz - 16th March - 6th April, 1812. The Roll confirms the three clasps to Dundas, with 64 and 73 clasps respectively awarded to the Regiment for the first and last of these actions. Only 2 clasps, both officers, awarded to the Regiment for Albuhera, Dundas presumably present in his position as D.A.A.G., the second recipient commanding Portuguese troops. Ex.
