the candlestick of knopped tapering form, spool-shaped capital, on a raised square base with canted corners, engraved with an armorial, the snuffer's stand of shaped rectangular form, flying scroll handle, on four hoof feet, engraved with an armorial, and the scissor snuffers with ring handles, height of candlestick 16.2cm, length of tray 16.4cm, approx. weight 22.4oz. The armorial is that of Newman and another.
