Bring your antiques and collectables to be valued in the delightful surroundings of The Wardrobe garden in Salisbury Cathedral Close accompanied by live music between 6pm and 7.30pm on 15th September.
Specialists from Woolley and Wallis fine art auctioneers are teaming up with The Rifles Berkshire and Wiltshire Museum (The Wardrobe) for this special event and will be on hand to look at medals, coins and militaria, alongside silver, jewellery, ceramics, Asian Art, paintings, modern design items and collectables. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore the museum and view some of the 34,000 plus artefacts that the museum holds.
The Rifles Museum is housed in the magnificent 15th century building in which the Bishops of Salisbury once stored their robes. It has a dual role in preserving the military heritage of the Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiments and in helping to serve the needs of the present-day successors to these illustrious units (5 Battalion the Rifles) through a program of support for veterans and serving soldiers.
Entry to the event and antique valuations are free but a voluntary donation to the museum charity will be greatly appreciated. Suggested donation: £2 - £5.
Drinks will be available from The Rifleman’s Table.
Venue: The Wardrobe, The Close, Salisbury, SP1 2EX
Date: Wednesday 15th September 2021
