Don’t miss Art Market Tales of the Unexpected on the closing day of the Chalke History Festival at Broad Chalke, Wiltshire on Sunday 29th June!

From 11:30am-12:30pm at the Forum tent, auctioneers John Axford, Clare Durham and Ned Cowell will take festival goers behind the scenes with incredible true stories of objects and the people connected to them, uncovering treasure hidden at wartime, Victorian family scandal, Suffragette suffering, repatriated art and the ultimate tale of rags to riches.

The eagerly anticipated Chalke History Festival returns this summer from 23rd to 29th June with a star-studded line up of world-renowned historians and an array of household names. Leading historians, broadcasters and public figures speaking at this year’s event include; Michael Palin, William Dalrymple, Niall Ferguson, Michael Gove, Lucy Hughes-Hallet, Tom Holland, Max Hastings and Helen Castor, to name just a few.

This year, the Festival is introducing an exciting new format, with a stunning site redesign, larger tents and specially curated spaces created to engage visitors in more informal and interactive discussions.  A newly streamlined ticketing system now ensures that festival entry on a full day basis grants access to ALL talks at no additional cost. Under-16s can attend for free.
