Fundraising Target for Local Hospice

With what it hopes will be the first in a series of lectures, Woolley and Wallis is hoping to raise a thousand pounds for Salisbury Hospicecare Trust. The event on Monday 18^th May will see Anthony du Boulay FSA, an adviser to the National Trust, giving a talk on early Chinese ceramics, alongside a private view of the Asian Art sale. The sale is spread over two days and includes three Imperial quality jade carvings, a collection of pottery from the first millennium and several private collections of porcelain, bronze figures and other items of Asian art.

Tickets to the event are already being sold and over £700 has so far been raised, but Asian Art specialist John Axford is really hoping to hit his target of a thousand pounds. "All the proceeds from the lecture are going to Salisbury Hospicecare, and it would be brilliant to be able to give them a sizeable donation. The trust does an amazing job, and people have already been very generous in helping us to support them".
