Horatio's Garden Online Art Auction

Over 70 UK artists including Sophie Ryder, Sean Henry, Maggi Hambling and Sir Quentin Blake have donated artworks to raise funds for Horatio’s Garden.
Building on the success of their first online art auction in 2021, the Salisbury-based charity has teamed up with Woolley and Wallis to host a second event.
All buying charges are being waived by the fine art auctioneers and by the-saleroom.com, on whose platform the auction will be hosted.
Horatio’s Garden was established in Salisbury by David and Dr Olivia Chapple, following the death of their son, Horatio in 2010. The first garden opened in 2012 at the Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment at Salisbury Hospital; others followed at the Queen Elizabeth National Spinal Injuries Unit, Glasgow, and at the Midland Centre for Spinal Injuries. There are now six gardens fully opened across the UK, with two more in the construction stage.
Estimates range from £200 to £8,000 and all proceeds will directly support the charity in its mission to nurture the wellbeing of patients following spinal injuries or operations.
Among the new artists supporting the event for 2023 is Instagram sensation, Sophie Tea, who is creating a bespoke work based on the garden at Stanmore, London. Asked to comment on the venture Tea said, “It’s so exciting to be part of this collective effort and to contribute to their special cause by raising funds through creativity and art. I hope this year’s art auction is as big a success as their last!”
The auction goes live on Friday 13th October, alongside a launch event held at the Castle Gate galleries of Woolley and Wallis, where some of the artists will mingle with supporters of Horatio’s Garden. Bidding will remain open until the evening of Sunday 29th October.
