Roadshow specialist makes Headway at charity evening
26th October 2009Eric Knowles has helped to raise nearly £1,200 for charity, by providing the second in a series of talks at Woolley and Wallis. The lecture series got underway in May with a talk by Anthony du Boulay on early Chinese ceramics; Antiques Roadshow specialist Eric spoke on Art Deco, and specifically the glass of Rene Lalique.
The evening was held at the Castle Street salerooms in conjunction with a private view of the 20th Century Design and Ceramics & Glass sales, pieces from which featured in Mr Knowles' very entertaining ninety minute talk.
All the proceeds from the talk went to Headway, the brain injury association of which Eric is a patron.
Further talks are planned for the New Year.
