A Summer Evening of Valuations by the Shore
2nd July 2026Curious about the value of the art and antiques in your home?
You are warmly invited to a special after-hours event at the Russell-Cotes on Thursday 2 July, 6.00pm–8.00pm, where our specialists will be offering expert auction valuations across a range of categories including ceramics, silver, Asian art, paintings, jewellery and other fine art and collectables. As you wander through the historic house, there will be live music as well as short, insightful talks highlighting standout pieces from the museum’s collection.
The Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum is a stunning, Grade II* listed Victorian villa on Bournemouth’s East Cliff, originally built in 1901 as a lavish birthday gift from Sir Merton Russell-Cotes to his wife, Lady Annie. It serves as a unique museum-house, showcasing their extensive collection of world-class art, sculpture, and international travel souvenirs within opulent, themed rooms and the event offers a rare opportunity to experience the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum in the evening.
Tickets cost £18 (£15 for Friends of the Museum) and include a glass of wine or a soft drink.
